Ratool (that is short for Removable Access Tool) puts the emphasis on helping you manage USB storage devices. If you want the operating system to ignore USB disks, you can disable USB disk detection. If you want people to be able to use USB sticks but you don’t want them to put any data on the stick, you can enable the “allow read only" option. And to make sure no one messes with your settings, you can password protect access to Ratool.

Ratool is a portable application – you do not have to install it. To start using it you must download a small archive, extract and run the executable inside the archive. Alongside the Ratool executable, there’s a Read Me TXT file inside the archive that lists the application’s features.

Ratool has a very simple interface that features just three options: Allow Read & Write (default); Allow Read Only; Disable USB Disks Detection. At the top there’s a File menu, and at the bottom there’s a large Apply Changes button.

From this very simple interface you can access the following functionality: block data from being written to USB storage devices, block the OS from detecting USB storage devices, show hidden files from the drive, block the Os from autorunning USB storage devices, safely remove USB sticks, block access to the application.

Ratool is freeware, which means you do not have to part with any of your money. Cons:
None that I could think of.

Pros

Ratool does not have to be installed; it is portable. The Ratool interface is incredibly simple. Use Ratool to block access to USB storage devices, to safely remove USB sticks, and more. Access to Ratool can be password protected. Ratool is freeware.

Cons

ider parting with some though if you like using the application. Donations are always welcome. Ratool is free, is portable, and allows you to easily manage USB storage devices.
